Custom Guitars by Luthier – A Vision Made Sound
This is one of my custom guitars by luthier, born from vision, shaped by experience, and infused with mysticism.
The journey began with a vivid dream, rooted in the symbolism of Mayan culture. As a luthier with over 15 years of experience, I pushed every boundary of my craft to give life to this instrument. The result: a guitar that blends personal inspiration with technical mastery.
Crafted entirely by hand, this custom guitar by luthier features inlays made from natural shell, a body carved from a single piece of Honduran mahogany, and a neck made of the same resonant tonewood. The fretboard is Cocobolo, a rare piece I preserved for over 12 years in my workshop. The top is quilted maple, offering visual depth, and the electronics cover is Bubinga, chosen for rich contrast.
For finishing, I combined modern and traditional methods. Acrylic lacquer highlights the top and headstock, while the rest of the body is treated with natural oil and wax, giving a soft, tactile contrast.
Functional details include phosphorescent side dots, medium jumbo stainless steel frets, EMG 81/60 pickups, Sperzel locking tuners, and Gotoh hardware. Despite its solid construction, it weighs only 3.5 kg, ensuring comfort and excellent balance.
But beyond its looks, the real strength of this custom guitar by luthier lies in its sound. Each note delivers depth, clarity, and a three-dimensional presence, transforming every moment of play into a sonic journey.
